Today we were all looking forward to gathering together to celebrate the 4th of July. This morning Morgan was running a fever 100.5 and so Kasha called the hospital and had to take him in about 9:30 am. We didn’t get to spend the day together after all. It’s just another stinky reminder that we really need to take this one day at a time.
He was taken in by the emergency room. His white blood cell count is incredibly low and this makes him susceptible to infection. He was given an IV, his PORT is still too tender and sore to use, they pumped antibiotics and fluids. Kasha said he perked up a bit and asked for Pizza for lunch. : ) He was admitted back into the hospital, 4 East at about 5:00. He had dinner and Kasha was with him until about 10:00 tonight.
One day at a time. Please continue to remember him in your prayers.
